SEASON 2: Guest Calendar
Roast! West Coast is back and growing!
Roast! West Coast is back and growing!
Roast! West Coast is back…and growing. Season 1 was a pandemic-inspired whirlwind in which a podcast became a podcast and newsletter. I focused on the coffee roasters of North County San Diego, and getting Coffee Smarter with the help of resident coffee expert Chris O’Brien from the Coffee Cycle cafe.
In Season 2, of the Roast! West Coast podcast we’re still focused on San Diego, but expanding the guest list. In addition to guests from San Diego roasters like Acento and Coatl, I’ll be talking to other important cogs in the local coffee machine including Brenden who started his own coffee delivery service Kayak, the founders of Frinj Coffee Farms who are bringing coffee farming to southern California and even a roaster design firm, Renegade Roasters, from El Cajon.
Roast! West Coast is expanding too. The podcast will now be able to be streamed right from the newsletter e-mail. Be sure to subscribe! I’ll be including a regional coffee news column, and there are fancy new dedicated social media handles. Check out the new “All Coffee, All the Time” @RoastWestCoast on Instagram, and join the Roast! West Coast coffee community in the new Facebook group where coffee lovers and industry members can swap coffee information, highlight our favorite places and even learn a thing or two.
The addition I’m most excited about this season is adding Siri Simran Khalsa, the Executive Director of coffee at Lofty Coffee, as a coffee roasting expert to take questions in the Coffee Smarter education series. Between her and resident coffee expert Chris O'Brien there won’t be many coffee questions we can’t answer.
I’m excited. I hope you’re excited. Get ready for a fun season two of Roast! West Coast.
Zumbar Coffee & Tea • First Light Coffee Whiskey • Leap Coffee • CAFÉ LaTERRE
