Take a moment to consider how your entrepreneurial plan is evolving.
What steps can you take to recognize tangents and, more importantly, distinguish when said tangent is a good opportunity toward your goals or towards a new goal, or… despite the appeal of the tangent, is merely a distraction to where you want to be, big picture.
The reality is that from business plan to operating the business, it is unlikely you’ll be traveling in a straight line.
Finally, TIME is an active participant in the evolution of your business. The path shapes the vision, and at some point, you may need to actively reset the goals, the trajectory, and even your overall vision based on the changes in you, the industry, and any other changes in the course.
Which decision is the right one? Oh, how we agonize over that question despite the absence of a crystal ball or any real definitive answer. The best you can do is make decisions with the information and emotion at hand, and emotion is truly a component. Without passion, is it worth doing?
